Stravaganza : City of Masks by Mary Hoffman

I haven’t even finished this book but I am already so excited about it and the fact that there are 3 more books after this one in the Stravaganza Series. The reason I am so excited is because this book has a “Harry Potter feel” to it, meaning it is something one can read once finished with the Harry Potter books and at a loss for something else to read of the same quality and style. The plots are not really that similar (Stravaganza is not a wizarding school book) but there is a 15 year old main character, there is a magical world alongside our everyday world – and there is time travel. Mary Hoffman does a fantastic job of creating worlds you want to know more about. She plants seeds of intrigue within the plot that spark your interest and keep you reading into the late hours of the night.
