As Time Goes By by Mary Higgins Clark

as-time-goes-byI’d seen Mary Higgins Clark’s romantic suspense novels in the library for years but never read any until I found one of them in our beach rental a few years ago.  It made good beach reading, and this, her latest novel, was, for me, equally enjoyable.

Delaney Wright, twenty-six years old, is a reporter for a TV station; she’s covering the case of an incredibly rich widow, Betsy Grant, charged with murdering her husband.  This trial is central to the novel’s plot. Meanwhile, Delaney, who was adopted at birth, is fortunate enough to have friends with time to spend on the difficult search for Delaney’s birth mother.  Also, after a history of disappointing dates, Delaney starts dating a man who really interests her.

This quick read by a bestselling author will keep readers turning pages!
