The name says it all. Mommy where are you? by Leonid Gore, has probably been heard more times in this world than anyone can possibly count. This simple story examines the search by a young mouse to find his mom. Each succeeding page displays another potential find only to discover something other than the parent in question. And just as if the search for the parent was for real, the tension and worries are felt by the reader until at last Mommy is found and all is okay with the young mouse and mother reunited. The illustrations for this story are wonderfully suited to the content of the story. Don’t be suprised if your chidlren ask you to read this story over and over again - even as they ask “where are you?”
